Model of a pavilion for Nongguding Village in Shangri-La, near Tibet. Tibet and Lisu Architecture that the village preserves inspire this pavilion. The base is constructed with Tibetan limestone, while the top is a wooden pavilion typical of Lisu Architecture. The flat roof calls back to the Prairie-style architecture of Tibet, and the winding staircase pays homage to the hike up to the Temple of Bodhidharma the pilgrims take each year from the village.
